This combination of hyaluronic acid and collagen is specially designed for skin care. Hyaluronic acid is not an acid in the usual sense, but consists of a polysaccharide that the body produces itself and which is primarily found in the skin. The peculiarity of hyaluronic acid is that it can bind 6,000 times its own weight in water. Collagen, which is also contained, is a central component of connective tissue.
The hyaluronic acid we use is of a purely plant type - it is fermented from oats. The molecular size is 0.7 - 1.5 m Dalton, so that a sufficient amount of hyaluronic acid enters the intestine and is not destroyed by gastric acid. Bioactive collagen peptides are a mixture of different special peptides that have been optimized for their specific physiological functions. They come from beef and are obtained in a highly controlled process of collagen production.
