The protein-L-amino acid lysine is an important building block of protein. However, lysine is one of the essential amino acids that the body does not produce on its own, so it must be taken with food.

Glucosamine belongs to the group of amino sugars. It occurs naturally in the body and is a building block of cartilage. There are two sources of glucosamine sulphate for dietary supplements: crustaceans or plants. The glucosamine we use is obtained from purely plant sources.

The organic sulphur compound MSM (methylsulphonylmethane) can be found in both animal and human organisms. Sulphur is found in almost all body cells and is needed for many metabolic processes. Sulphur is also needed for the production of active enzymes and proteins. And proteins, on the other hand, are important for collagen production.

Hyaluronic acid is best known as a skin care product because it counteracts the signs of skin aging. But hyaluronic acid is at least as important to the joints because the cartilage mass on the joint surfaces needs hyaluronic acid as a synovial fluid to stay supple and intact.
