Go on a mushroom hunt

Mushrooms can do more than just enrich autumnal dishes. In traditional Chinese medicine, medicinal mushrooms have been used for centuries. They are among the oldest natural remedies in the world. Many vital bodily functions can be influenced and supported by mushrooms.

The valuable ingredients are primarily obtained from the fruiting bodies of the mushrooms. The natural composition of minerals, vitamins, fibre, trace elements, essential amino acids and secondary ingredients with high bioactivity is unique. If the dried mushroom is simply finely ground without any further intermediate steps, it is referred to as medicinal mushroom powder. All the ingredients remain intact thanks to the gentle processing. Further steps are necessary to produce the more concentrated medicinal mushroom extract. With the help of alcohol and water, the soluble parts are dissolved out of the mushroom powder and then evaporated to form a concentrate. To make it easier to take the mushroom extract and enable a more precise dosage, the extract obtained is often pressed into tablets or filled into capsules.
