The types of Boswellia known as Frankincense are mostly known only as incense, but have been used as phytotherapeutic agents for many centuries. The sticky, milky fluid escapes through cuts in the trunk and branches of the salai tree (Boswellia serrata). Incense resin is formed by air drying. Frankincense is traditionally used in a wide variety of cultures. Frankincense 500 mg also contains important vitamins: vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and vitamin B6, which contribute, among other things, to normal energy metabolism and the normal functioning of the nervous system.
