In Asia, the powers of numerous algae have been used for thousands of years. Our brown algae extract contains the active ingredients of two of these valuable types of algae - brown algae (also known as kelp) and spirulina. The brown alga is mainly found along cooler coastal regions. It is a natural source of minerals and trace elements with a particularly high iodine content. Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae that grows in salt and fresh water lakes.
